Architectural Depot

ArchitecturalDepot.com

Elevating the user experience and interface design for a leading eCommerce DIY superstore.

SUMMARY: ArchitecturalDepot.com is a long-standing e-commerce site specializing in architectural elements like mouldings, beams, and exterior accents. Through a comprehensive redesign process, I rebuilt the interface with modern UI patterns, improved the hierarchy of content, and refined how customers discover products.

PROBLEM: The site was visually outdated and overly complex to navigate. Despite strong functionality, it felt pieced together rather than thoughtfully designed around the user’s journey.

DELIVERABLES: High-fidelity desktop & mobile mockups | Design System + primitives, tokens, styles, variables, etc

TOOLS: Figma, Adobe Suite, Google Forms

GOALS:

  • Modernize the interface while retaining brand identity

  • Simplify product discovery and navigation

  • Improve conversion flow and accessibility

  • Establish consistent UI components for scalability

Get It On Video

In addition to the web development and design, Pace Graphics hired me to produce a video showcasing all the products they offer.

The Pace Face

Paul Pace, the Founder of Pace Graphics, loves his own face – so we helped him make it into a Call To Action and Air Freshener. Why? Because why not “Refresh Your Space with Pace”?

*The idea here is that it appeals to the customer’s sense of smell and offers a way to advertise for free. The generalized style of the face icon is simple enough that a customer will more than likely want to hang it on their mirror – especially if they enjoy the scent. This tactic is intended to lead to warm references from a trusted customer to a potential customer.
